Everything in moderation is what I live by. Small portions no matter what you are eating. This will help prevent spikes in your sugars.
Kenneth that is good advice. I think carbs and sugary foods are big ones. Small, regular meals will keep you feeling better. Steve--I hope you are doing okay. Having diabetes is a marathon, but it's not so bad when you got people running with you. Hang in there!
Hello Steve. I have had diabetes for the past 20 years, and it definitely is a challenge to control, but it's manageable. One thing I found helpful in preventing spikes and lows in my sugar is to not eat heavy carbohydrate foods. I used to eat bread and pasta all the time, but it's one of the worst things for diabetes. So if you eat big meals or a lot of carbs, I would start there.
