"My name is Jerry and I wanted to talk a little bit about my experience with Legacy Heart Care and with EECP. When I came here, I was constantly having angina and I was having to take nitroglycerin. I couldn't go upstairs-- stairs were a big "no-no"-- and so I was having to take the elevator all the time.
After about halfway [though the treatment], one morning I was in a hurry getting to work and the elevators there were slow as ever and I was in a hurry, so I started up the stairs (not even thinking about it). I went up the stairs, and when I got up the stairs, my chest was not hurting and I wasn't completely out of breath or feeling like someone was sitting on my chest, so I started thinking, "Hey this is great!" Well, I went through the entire procedure-- the entire 7 weeks--and everything was great, and you know, I went through about 3 years of feeling real good!
I have just thoroughly enjoyed my time here. They have done quite a bit to help me get back to what I used to do and what I like to do, and they have helped me get away from thinking about my heart and [that] I can't do this or I can't do that, and my blood flow is a lot better, and everything is working out a lot better now. I just truly enjoy it here; the people are the nicest people in the world.
Just look forward to what you can do once you go through this for a while, because you know-- everyone is different-- and your situations are not the same; your outcomes are not the same, but I can say with confidence that you are going to be feeling a lot better after you finish this procedure and the treatment, and you are going to enjoy what's going on, and you will definitely enjoy the people."
